Control of immunological veterinary medicinal products
The Vaccine Control Section is responsible for the control of immunological veterinary medicinal products. Therein, the principal tasks are to evaluate, analyse and control vaccines and serum-based products. It is also responsible for checking the quality control, safety and efficacy of the products in terms of conforming to legal and pharmacopoeial requirements.
A data bank for all immunological veterinary medicinal products authorized in Switzerland is maintained and managed by the Vaccine Control Section. The expertise of the Section is also available for any query arising in the field of veterinary immunoprophylaxis.
