Transfer of immunological veterinary medicinal products to Swissmedic
On 1 January 2023, responsibility for the authorisation, variation, batch release, market surveillance and licences for importing individual batches of immunological veterinary medicinal products was transferred from the Institute of Virology and Immunology (IVI) to Swissmedic.

Import of veterinary medicines
From 01.08.2022, the FSVO is responsible for issuing special permits. Import applications must be submitted directly to the FSVO via the "TAM-I". Information on the new authorisation process can be found here (german): Einfuhr von Tierarzneimitteln
