Accessibility in the federal administration

Digitally available information and services make it easier for people with disabilities to communicate with public authorities Place. This enables social and political participation for everyone.

Overriding Provisions

Accessibility provisions are formulated in the following ordinances:

  • Article 8 paragraph 2 of the Federal Constitution requires the non-discrimination of people with a physical, mental or mental disability.
  • The Disability Equality Act (BehiG) requires measures to prevent, reduce or improve discrimination to eliminate.
  • The Disability Equality Ordinance (BehiV) contains provisions on the requirements for a disabled person Organization of federal services.
  • Article 9 of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNO-BRK) explains how to guarantee equal access to Information and services for the public.

This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1, compliance level AA. The incompatibilities are listed below.

Exceptions

The content listed below is not barrier-free for the following reasons, including the indication of barrier-free alternatives:

  • Various PDF documents, in particular documents that were originally printed and subsequently digitised.
  • Some videos lack subtitles and/or an audio description.
  • Content embedded using I-Frame is not accessible in many cases. This applies in particular to embedded maps.
  • Some images and graphics do not yet contain sufficient alternative text. There is no content in simple language or easy language.
  • There is no content in simple or easy language.
